How to get a US number for WhatsApp without a SIM card
Rent a real US mobile (non-VoIP) number online, enter it in WhatsApp with the +1 country code, and read the 6-digit code in your browser. Rent rather than buying a one-time code if you'll keep the account, because WhatsApp sends a new code to the same number when you set it up on another phone.

Step by step
- 01Create a free VerifDoc account and add balance with crypto (USDT or USDC on Solana or Ethereum).

- 05In WhatsApp, open Settings › Account and turn on two-step verification with a PIN, and add an email address.
Why not a VoIP number or a free online number?
- WhatsApp often refuses internet (VoIP) numbers at sign-up, so the code never arrives.
- Free "receive SMS online" sites show every code publicly. Anyone reading the page can register your WhatsApp account on their own phone.
- A rented non-VoIP number is a real mobile number that only you can read the texts of.
Keep the account when the rental ends
When a rental ends, the number goes back to the provider's pool, and it can later be given to someone else. Two things keep your WhatsApp safe: the two-step verification PIN (nobody can register the account without it) and an email address on the account, so you can get back in without the number.
If the account matters for longer, rent the number for longer from the start: rentals go up to a year.
What it costs
Prices follow live stock and are shown before you pay: a one-time code, or a rental priced by length. A one-time number that gets no code is refunded automatically; a rental is paid up front for its whole length.

Does this work for WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The steps are the same in the WhatsApp Business app: enter the number with +1 and read the code in your dashboard.
Can I use the number from outside the US?
Yes. WhatsApp only needs the code once at sign-up, and the code shows in your browser wherever you are.
Will people see my real number?
No. Your contacts and groups see the rented US number, never your personal one.
Is it allowed?
Use it for your own account and follow WhatsApp's terms. Creating fake or bulk accounts isn't allowed on VerifDoc.
