The best non-VoIP number services, compared
It depends on what you need. For the cheapest one-time US codes, non-voip.com and SMSPool listed lower prices than the rest on October 12, 2026. For keeping a number, VerifDoc's rentals were the cheapest we found, for every app or for one, for up to a year. All of them describe their numbers as real non-VoIP SIMs except 5sim, which sells virtual numbers.
SMS VerificationSMSPool alternatives
The main SMSPool alternatives for US non-VoIP numbers are VerifDoc (cheaper monthly rentals, up to a year, and numbers, email and proxies on one balance), non-voip.com (lower one-time code prices, crypto only, no rentals), Fetch SMS (US only, rentals up to a year) and VoidMob (US SIMs, rentals up to 30 days). SMSPool itself has lower one-time prices than VerifDoc and takes cards.
SMS VerificationVerifDoc vs SMSPool
SMSPool is cheaper for one-time US codes (on October 12, 2026: WhatsApp $1.44, Telegram $0.73, Google $0.48) and takes cards. VerifDoc is cheaper for keeping a number: its rentals for every app cost less than SMSPool's for a week or a month, run up to a year, and the same balance pays for VoIP numbers, email and proxies.
Residential ProxiesA DataImpulse alternative with city targeting included
If you need city, state or ISP targeting, VerifDoc costs $1.00 per GB with targeting included, while DataImpulse bills targeted traffic at double its standard rate (about $2 per GB on its $1 pool). For untargeted, country-level traffic DataImpulse costs the same $1 per GB and gets cheaper at volume, so the difference is targeting.
Residential ProxiesThe cheapest residential proxies with city targeting
Of the six providers we checked on October 12, 2026, VerifDoc has the lowest price for city-targeted residential traffic at the smallest purchase: $1.00 per GB with city, state and ISP targeting included. DataImpulse is also $1 per GB but bills targeted traffic at double; Webshare, Decodo, NodeMaven and IPRoyal start between $3.50 and $7.35 per GB.
